DACC is an off-site super elective offered through your high school located at 4565 Columbus Pike Delaware. It was created to give students a new way to get real-world experience and explore possible career paths. There was a meeting held for Sophomores to talk in-depth about all things revolving around DACC, but in case you missed it this is everything you need to know from classes to application.
Animal Sciences and Natural Resources
This program offers classes outside of the DACC building, such as at the Columbus Zoo, the Delaware County Fairgrounds, and Camp Lazarus. It mainly focuses on hands-on work with animals and a nature-filled environment.

Automotive and Manufacturing
The program is based on engineering and technology. It gives students a chance to work with modern technology, cars, and construction. There is a wide variety of classes that fully cover the spectrum of all possible professions under the umbrella of engineering.

If any of those courses piques your interest you can fill out a form to go on a field trip to the DACC building and pick out your top programs to get a tour of on November 22 though the form has to be turned in to the counselor’s office by Friday, October 25. You will be at the school from 9:45 am to 1:15 pm and transported by bus. If you miss the due date for the form no worries, there is an open house to meet teachers and ask more personalized questions. They are also holding group family tours on select Fridays throughout the school year as well as coffee chats to find out how DACC can help your child grow.
