Over the summer, the internet has been buzzing with news and unforgettable moments, so to help you catch up, here’s a list of Do’s and Don’ts from summer 2025.
DO: Taylor And Travis Podcast

It’s not unknown that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are official, but they just broke the 4th wall by Swift making an appearance on the New Heights podcast. Sometimes celebrity relationships can feel separate from the rest of the world, especially celebrities as huge as Swift and Kelce.
This moment gave fans a chance to connect to this infamous couple and get a peek into their private life. Not only did Swift come on the podcast, she also announced her new album, The Life Of A Showgirl! It’s to be released on October 3rd this year and has fans shaking with anticipation over the genre of music this new album has in store…stay tuned to see an in-depth review here on the ravine after its release!
DON’T: Coldplay CEO affair

Coming from a relationship that started at a stadium concert to one that ended in a stadium concert. Coldplay has been touring for their “Music of the Spheres World Tour” since March 18, 2022, and isn’t set to finish until September 8th, 2025. Yet the most eventful and shocking night was in Boston on July 16th, where everything was going according to plan until they turned the kiss cam on. The camera turned to a seemingly normal couple holding each other and swaying to the music, but then they noticed the camera and ducked, dropping to the floor, covering their faces, hiding until the camera panned away. It wasn’t till the moment it was posted on social media that people became interested and got to work on finding out who the couple was. They were found to be Andy Byron, the CEO, and Kristin Cabot, the Head of HR of a tech company named Astronomer. They are both married, and this incident, becoming as large as it did, caused Astronomer to lead an internal investigation. In the end, both Byron and Cabot resigned from their position, and Astronomer hired Gwyneth Paltrow to lead a PR campaign in hopes of fixing the company’s reputation. This situation as a whole is definitely something no one will ever forget.

DO: Joe Jonas And Demi Lovato Reunite
Speaking of concerts, we cannot forget to mention that the Jonas Brothers have been touring and constantly having new clips released on social media. One of the most exciting moments was Demi Lovato being brought onto the stage to sing beloved songs from their Disney days. It
brought millions of people nostalgia to see their childhood celebrities together again, since most child stars after Disney run from their past and don’t wish to be associated with it. Not only did they welcome Lovato, but they also welcomed Kevin Jonas’s first solo performance, where he debuted his song titled “Changing” on August 23, 2025.
DON’T: American Eagle “gene” Campaign

Kevin Jonas wasn’t the only one to debut something talk-worthy. American Eagle debuted their promotion campaign with Sydney Sweeney. It’s not a flashy or interesting in its images, but in the narration. They tried to use wordplay between “jeans” and “genes,” which isn’t a bad idea, but given that Sweeney is a blonde, blue-eyed, white woman, the ad rubbed people the wrong way. Some felt it was alluding to eugenics since no other models were in the campaign, adding zero diversity to a campaign talking about genes.
DO: GAP Katseye Campaign
In retaliation for that campaign, GAP released a jeans-centered

ad with Katseye,
a six-member girl group that has been trending recently on social media wth songs like “Gnarly” and “Gabriela”. The ad shows them dancing to a remix of Milkshake by Kelis and demonstrating how flexible and good quality their jeans are. Not only is the ad itself a good promotion on its own, but the fact that they posted it so close to the American Eagle campaign, the internet decided that GAP was one-upping A&E on purpose, making it even more iconic.
These are just some of the things Summer 25 held, and as the world becomes more centered around social media, there will be more to come. Hopefully, there continue to be more Dos than Don’ts to end the year on a positive note!
