In a world that is defined by constant division, it is rare to have something that brings everyone together. In this case, the total solar eclipse accomplished this.
On April 8, 2024, Worthington Ohio celebrated their first total solar eclipse since 1803. Worthington Schools gave students the day off of school, allowing them a chance to witness the event with families and friends.
Many members of the community gathered at Hard Road Park to watch the solar eclipse. Hundreds of people could be seen having lunch picnics, playing yard games, going on walks, or just catching up. The 2024 eclipse surely brought the country together in many places, but the gathering at Hard Road Park can be seen below.
