It’s that time again, election year. This year’s campaigns were filled with drama and were entertaining, to say the least. Kamala Harris and Donald Trump were in a tough battle to be elected President Of The United States after Biden’s term ended. It was originally thought Biden and Trump would be the top two candidates but after campaigning and debating Trump, Biden took himself out of the race for fear of not winning and had Harris take his place in the running. Though they both have debated each other and held many rallies it can still be hard to get to the root of their beliefs and policies while also deciding who to vote for between Bernie Moreno and Sherrod Brown for senator. Here is every candidate’s main policies and everything they stand for.

Here in Ohio, there is also Issue 1, a proposal to remove politicians from redistricting. Currently, there is a seven-member board consisting of two Republicans and two Democrats, as well as the governor, secretary of state, and an auditor. Voting yes on Issue One means there would become a fifteen-member board with Republicans, Democrats, and a variety of independent citizens to represent different demographics and geographical areas.
With all of these things to remember before heading to the polls it can become stressful and stop people from voting. Voting doesn’t have to be overwhelming, do your research, watch debates, attend rallies, and most importantly form your own opinion. It can get hard when you constantly see contradicting information and it’s all that people are talking about, but as long as you are confident and well-informed, you’re doing your duty as an American.
