One of the most exciting ways to kick off the school year is our annual Homecoming Dance, held on the Worthington Kilbourne High School football field. Every year, not only do students look forward to the dance, but also to the festivities and celebrations that are held leading up to it. Spirit week, Homecoming Court, and pep rallies are only the beginning of what we have in store!
Spirit Week

Spirit Week is planned and put together by the WKHS student council. This year, Monday was pajama day, Tuesday was Adam Sandler day, Wednesday was a pink out, Thursday was jersey day, and Friday was USA day. For a whole week, students and staff are encouraged to dress up according to these themes, and as always, many go all out to get hyped up for the dance!
Pep Rally
During 8th period on the Friday before Homecoming, our Fall Pep Rally is held either on the gym or on the football field to play fun games and get students excited for the dance! This year, students played games like tug-of-war and hungry hungry hippos, some in which the staff joined in on. Mr. Peterson and Mr. Alexander are just some of the staff members who participated in the pep rally festivities! Pep rallies are a great way for WKHS to come together as a school and have some fun before Homecoming weekend! There are always important rules and reminders that are announced during the pep rally in order to ensure that students have fun and act responsibly at the dance.

Football Game

The last festivity before the Homecoming dance is the Friday night football game. This year, Worthington Kilbourne took on Big Walnut, but unfortunately fell short, losing 35-20. The loss did not dim the excitement of the stands, however. The student section cheered for our football wolves regardless of the score, all dressed in their USA apparel! Along with the game, the Homecoming Court was also introduced and the Homecoming Royalty was crowned. 9 of our seniors were a part of the 2025 Homecoming Court and 3 were crowned as the Homecoming Royalty: Ben Davis, Quinn McGlone, and Sarah Lundine. Watching football under the lights of the WKHS stadium is always the perfect way to wrap up the week, especially before an event like Homecoming!
Homecoming Dance

Saturday is always the big night! This year, Homecoming was held on the football field under the stadium lights with games, snacks, and music! Lots of WKHS students attended the dance and it was a successful close to all of the festivities. Go Wolves!
