Lion Cub’s Cookies

Along with restaurants such as Maple Street Biscuit Company and Tropical Smoothie, High Street recently welcomed another establishment: Lion Cub’s Cookies, located at 7105 N High St in Worthington.

The shop opened on March 8, greeted by rain and a line of customers stretching around the building, eager to experience the delicious cookies for themselves. Some  guests waited upwards of 2 hours for their cookies!

The first Lion Cub’s Cookies location opened in 2021 near Granville, after humble beginnings at a local market in 2019 and then transferring to delivery only during the initial COVID-19 pandemic.

One of the elements that sets Lion Cub’s Cookies apart from others is their 2-hour rule. After a cookie is baked and decorated, it is only available to be purchased for 2 hours afterwards, ensuring nothing but the freshest confections possible for their customers. If there are “timed-out” cookies, the shop works with local organizations, food banks, and businesses in the area to distribute their cookies and guarantee that none will go to waste.

They are committed to putting the customer first, as can clearly be seen throughout their store. Customers can apply to become cookie taste testers and free cookies through the reward program, and catering options are also available for all large-group gathering needs! Lion Cub’s is dedicated to ensuring a safe eating experience for all as well, cleaning their equipment before and after processing batches with allergens along with utilizing separate packaging (upon request) for orders containing allergens.

Not unlike Crumbl Cookies, Lion Cub’s Cookies has a rotating menu that refreshes monthly. The options always include chocolate chip and puppy chow cookies, along with variations on cookies ‘n cream, a chocolate based flavor, and an iced sugar cookie. There are 2 rotating flavors per month, which tend to be seasonally focused.

Lion Cub’s Cookies has been voted best in Columbus for 2 years running, which has been decided through an annual reader poll by 614 Magazine. They are open from 8 AM to 10 PM every day except for Mondays, when they are closed.
