Bella White

This week, The Ravine is excited to feature junior Bella White as Wolf of the Week. Bella has played golf, basketball, and lacrosse throughout her high school career, and is on track to achieve the Twelve Seasons of Greatness award for being involved in a sport every season of high school. Bella is also committed to play lacrosse at the Division One level for Kent State University, is running for student council Vice President,  is a part of the choir at WKHS, and is a Student Council Representative.

White has won Honorable Mention for the Ohio Capital Conference, and All-Region Honorable Mention for lacrosse, along with Honorable Mention OCC twice for basketball. With all of her accomplishments comes lots of hard work for White. She shares, “For time management, I do my homework during my off periods during school. On the days I have games or matches, I try to limit the amount of homework I have to do.”

As a cabinet member for the student council, White also raised over $1000 dollars for the Student Council Compassion Project. Additionally, she aided the Student Council by representing the junior class for the Canned Food Drive, which greatly benefited the Worthington Resource Pantry.

White is always helping and observing aspects of her local community, which impacted her decision to attend Kent State University. “Kent State was a great environment for me. I loved the coaches and players I met. It was the perfect distance away from home, and I always knew I wanted to play in college,” White explained.

White always knew she wanted to be an athlete at the collegiate level. As an active multisport athlete, White has had to make difficult decisions about her present and future.

“Up until freshman year I thought I could have played basketball in college, but my club and school teammates made me ultimately choose lacrosse,” White says. Along with playing a sport through Fall, Winter, and Spring, White also participates in a club lacrosse program through Lucky Lax.

Other than her many athletic teams, White enjoys the social aspects of choir because it allows her to meet new people that she normally would not hang out with. Through all the stress of her busy schedule, White also enjoys participating in choir because it is a creative outlet.

“In the winter, I usually have to go directly from a basketball game to a choir performance,” White says. White’s schedule keeps her active, and permits her to have a wide social circle, “I love to keep busy,” she says.

By her involvement in sports and other school activities, White serves as an example of how involved students can be. The Ravine is honored to have featured Bella White as this week’s Wolf of the Week.
